McKaily Adams Predoctoral rotation student
McKaily Adams is a first year PhD student in the Human Genetics and Genomics department. She attended Utah State University for her B.S. in Animal Dairy Veterinary Science with an emphasis in Biotechnology. Afterwards, she was a lab tech at Johns Hopkins University for two years in the Robert Johnston lab studying human retinal organoid transplantation. McKaily was enthusiastic to continue her learning at Johns Hopkins University for her PhD. Her first rotation was in the Sharma lab, where she assisted Jhanay Davis in assessing optimal conditions for introduction of NMD inhibitors and small molecule therapies for class I variants of cystic fibrosis. Outside of the lab, McKaily enjoys long distance running, songwriting, playing guitar, and reading old books.”
